BOCA RATON, Fla. — Kinney Drugs, Discount Drug Mart and USA Drug are carrying Smart for Life Cookie Diet weight-loss products in their stores.

Plans call for the Smart for Life Cookie Diet products to be placed in 87 Kinney locations in New York and Vermont. Smart for Life six-pack to-go cookie trays in two flavors, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin, are in Kinney stores now, according to Smart for Life.

The weight-control manufacturer’s sister company, Better Health Beverage, also is slated to make its underWAY appetite-suppressing beverage available in Kinney stores next month.

At Discount Drug Mart, Smart for Life Cookie Diet products were placed in 10 stores in Ohio during an initial test in the fall of 2009. In the wake of that pilot’s success, Smart for Life six-pack to-go cookie trays in chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin flavors are now being offered in Discount Drug Mart’s stores. Also, the Better Health Beverage underWAY product is slated to become available at the 69-store chain in February.

And Smart for Life 12-count boxes of individually wrapped cookies, in chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin flavors, are now in 80 USA Drug locations in Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee and Oklahoma. The underWAY beverage, too, is being rolled out to stores next month. The chain, with more than 170 stores, operates under the USA Drug, Super D Drugs, May’s Drug Stores, Drug Warehouse, Med-X Drugs and Ike’s Discount banners.

The Smart for Life Cookie Diet is a comprehensive weight management approach that utilizes natural, hunger-controlling foods to deliver visible results, according to the company. The firm was started by Sasson Moulavi, M.D., "Dr. Sass," on the principle of improving people’s lives by providing a quick, safe, easy and affordable means of weight control.
