CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — Lip balm brand Lip Smacker will sponsor the 2016 “Untouchable Tour” of youth singing sensation Meghan Trainor.
The Markwins Beauty Inc. brand said Wednesday that the sponsorship pairs the girl power appeal of Lip Smacker’s delicious flavored and scented lip balms with young female trailblazer Trainor, the winner of the 2016 Grammy for Best New Artist.
“Meghan is an incredibly talented artist who serves as an inspirational leader through her music,” Markwins Beauty Brands president Bill George stated. “Lip Smacker is a brand that stands behind the goals and achievements of our customers, whether big or small. Staying true to our history, we’re honored to be joining Meghan for the next step in her career, where we will celebrate this exceptional artist who is inspiring women everywhere.”
Trainor, who broke out in 2014 with her No. 1 Billboard Hot 100, double-platinum debut single “All About That Bass,” launches her latest headline tour in July, where she will perform all of the hits from both her platinum debut album “Title” and recently released sophomore album “Thank You.” The Untouchable Tour runs through September and includes stops in key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Boston and Houston.
