EDMONTON, ABLondon Drugs  on Friday officially opened the new 29,600 square-foot store within Edmonton’s Southgate Centre Mall, having relocated from its original location on 51 Ave NW.

At an official ribbon-cutting event on Friday morning, customers had a first look at this new modern retail space within the city’s premier fashion destination, and the first 50 customers received a gift card valued at $10-$250. The new store is located near the second floor parkade, ensuring easy, convenient access for London Drugs customers.

“We are so excited to be a new member of the Southgate Centre Mall shopping community, where we can elevate our customers’ experiences,” says Kevin Sorby, general manager of Retail Operations. “Our ability to combine wellness and community, while being a patient-first pharmacy, is why so many Canadians rely on London Drugs across Western Canada.”

With a refreshing open concept design, including updated beauty and tech departments, this brand-new space within Southgate Centre Mall will become a staple for Edmontonian customers, where they can depend on the product variety and unique services that London Drugs is known. London Drugs provides patients and customers with the ability to take control of their personal health through the Connected Wellness program, combining health and technology. By offering a wide array of smart tech to help track everything from heart rate, blood pressure, sleep quality, physical activity and more, patients can work directly with pharmacists and the tech team to help find the best products and habits that will ensure a healthier quality of life.

Customers new to London Drugs are often surprised and delighted at the variety of products and services that can be found at each location. From Veganuary in January with an emphasis on plant-based products to a proud partnership with Magnusmode providing digital guides for in-store activities to help those living with cognitive disabilities, in-store activations focus on customers’ needs throughout the year.

As part of their ongoing commitment to building healthier and stronger communities, London Drugs presented a donation cheque to Bent Arrow at the ribbon-cutting ceremony – an organization which supports Indigenous children, youth and families in Edmonton and the area.

London Drugs has become a place Canadians rely on – for more than just their prescriptions. In fact, more small appliances are purchased in London Drugs stores across Western Canada than any other retail store. London Drugs also offers a convenient in store recycling program including beauty packaging, batteries and more.

With customer-focused care at the heart of London Drugs, this one-of-a-kind shopping experience now at Southgate Centre Mall highlights why they are Western Canada’s 100 percent Canadian-owned retail pharmacy chain.
