ARLINGTON, Va. — Lynne Fruth, president and chairman of Fruth Pharmacy and a member of the NACDS Board of Directors, has been inducted into the West Virginia Executive Health Care Hall of Fame.

West Virginia Executive magazine – which provides in-depth business news coverage and highlights the state’s growth and development – launched the Health Care Hall of Fame in 2020. The award took on new significance during the COVID-19 pandemic, and has recognized those working tirelessly toward the greater good and putting the needs of others above their own.

Pharmacy team members of Fruth Pharmacy, a regional chain of 29 stores in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky, have administered over 70,000 COVID-19 vaccinations to date. In addition, the company has served as a leader in testing and in treatment of COVID-19. In addition, the company’s community engagement includes the Fruth Scholarship Program, which has provided over $1 million in educational assistance. The Bridge of Hope Scholarship that Fruth established provides money for West Virginians recovering from drug abuse who are seeking training or education to re-enter the workforce.

In accepting the award, Fruth said, “I am proud to accept this award on behalf of all Fruth Pharmacy employees who have worked so diligently providing care on the frontline during this pandemic. I take immense pride in knowing that the actions of our employees have truly saved lives.”
