McLane tabs Vito Maurici as national sales chief

TEMPLE, Texas — McLane Co. has promoted Vito Maurici to senior vice president of sales.

The distributor and supply chain services provider said Monday that Maurici will oversee its national sales team and have six sales directors reporting directly to him.

Maurici joined McLane last June as vice president of sales for the convenience, military and travel business. In his new role, he will be responsible for additional trade segments, including drug stores, mass market retailers, warehouse club stores and supermarkets.

“I am honored and humbled to be in this new role at McLane Co.,” Maurici stated. “This is an exciting time, and I look forward to driving sales and profitability for customers and McLane, while working with a talented group of teammates.”

Before coming to McLane, Maurici served as senior vice president of sales and distribution at NJOY and as vice president of sales for the Southwest for Altria. He also led trade marketing efforts at Philip Morris International for the Central Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

Through its McLane Grocery and McLane Foodservice units, McLane Co. operates 80 distribution centers nationwide and provides grocery and foodservice supply-chain solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants. The company buys, sells and delivers more than 50,000 consumer products to nearly 110,000 locations across the United States.
