RESTON, Va. — Cheryl Hoffer has been hired at vice president of pharmacy network management at Mirixa Corp.

Mirixa said Thursday that Hoffer, a 24-year veteran of Medicine Shoppe International Inc., will lead the Mirixa Pharmacy Account Management team, supporting independent and chain pharmacies in the delivery of patient care programs.

The Pharmacy Account Management team also helps expand pharmacy-based patient care opportunities, develops best practices, assists with educational and promotional activities, and provides operational support to Mirixa’s pharmacy network partners, according to the company, which offers pharmacy-based patient care services.

At Medicine Shoppe, a unit of Cardinal Health, Hoffer held various marketing and managed care positions and was responsible for the implementation of medication therapy management services for Medicine Shoppe pharmacies and Medicap Pharmacy stores.

She also was an active member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, serving on the NACDS Policy Council, and the National Community Pharmacists Association, Mirixa noted.

"Cheryl brings many years of pharmacy network experience to Mirixa, and we’re pleased to have her join our organization," Trish Dare, Mirixa’s senior vice president of operations, said in a statement. "Her expertise will be particularly helpful as we roll out new tools in the months ahead designed to help strengthen patients’ relationships with their primary care pharmacists."
