The Mentholatum Co. brand said the OXY On-The-Go Acne Stick is a slim, convenient solid that provides a portable, mess-free acne treatment solution, with benzoyl peroxide, the No. 1 active ingredient recommended by dermatologists to kill acne-causing bacteria.
Many acne products are inconvenient and labor-intensive, requiring teens to go to a bathroom to wash their face and hands as part of the treatment process. What’s more, benzoyl peroxide can bleach clothing and towels, and some can leave treatment residue behind, OXY noted.
However, the OXY On-The-Go Acne Stick can be placed in a small bag or backpack and, because it goes on clear via a handy applicator, teens can spot-treat at any time, the company said, adding that dermatologists agree that regular use of acne treatments increases the likelihood of achieving and maintaining clearer skin.
The OXY On-The-Go Acne Stick is available at retailers nationwide, including Target and Rite Aid stores.
“With teens busier than ever between school, activities, friends and family, the OXY On-The-Go Acne Stick is the perfect product at the right time,” stated Erick Estrada, senior marketing director of OTC brands at Mentholatum. “Particularly with spring prom season just around the corner, students need to have confidence that there’s an effective acne treatment that is as on-the-go as they are. “
Other forms of OXY acne medication include pads, face washes and spot treatments, formulated with clinically proven, acne-fighting ingredients, such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
