Health care and technology were the key themes at the 2016 NACDS Total Store Expo on Monday, the third day of the show.
Insight Sessions included such topics as trends in telehealth, pharmacy point-of-care testing, access to the opioid overdose antidote naloxone, and how customers with certain disease states shop the store. Sessions also looked at marketing to Hispanic consumers, the impact of digital marketing, pharmacist overtime, transportation trends and what’s next for the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).
Panelists hailed from such companies as Nielsen, IRI, Walgreens, Rite Aid and MDLive, as well as from such institutions as the Ferris State University College of Pharmacy and the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, among others.
Later in the day, NACDS also announced the winners of this year’s Product Showcase.
In this video segment from NACDS-TV, you’ll hear from Iliana Carlo of People En Espanol, David Kilgo of Wolters Kluwer, Liz Cruz of Publix Super Markets, NACDS’ Steve Anderson, Bruce Sullivan of Aspen Pharma and Jana Bobosikova of NKD SKN Self Tan.
Though the TSE exhibit hall remains open through noon on Tuesday, Monday’s events wrapped up the main portion of the expo.
