MIAMI — Navarro Discount Pharmacy has opened its 33rd store.

Executives say the 10,000-square-foot store, located on NW 7th Street in Miami, will target Hispanics from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba, offering such unique offerings as Latino hair care products, beer and nectar drinks.

In addition, Navarro’s signature products for Hispanics also available in the new store include Café La Llave Expresso coffee and Fabuloso multipurpose cleaner as well as such popular brands as Valentini, El Sembrador and La Fe.

More than 1,000 SKUs of Navarro’s Vida Mia private label brand products are also offered in a variety of categories, including baby, beauty, food, household, health and over-the-counter medications.

“The new store meets consistent demand we are seeing in the City of Miami and is well positioned near Miami International Airport,” Navarro president and chief executive officer Juan Ortiz says. “As a community pharmacy, we are pleased to continue to serve the local community looking for Navarro’s everyday-low pricing, signature products and unique assortment.”

He says that Navarro spent more than $1 million on the new location, including $500,000 on construction and an additional $500,000 on merchandise, fixtures and equipment.

The new store features new colors and enhanced signage in English and Spanish; a fragrance section with added light boxes; cell phone and photo departments; a new pastelito cafeteria; and an expanded selection of products in the refrigerated and freezer food and dairy section.
The store’s pharmacy offers a pediatric window for busy parents; compounding services; a free Diabetes Club for adults and children with diabetes; a Mommy and Me Club; and free prescription delivery.
