MIAMI — Navarro Discount Pharmacies has renovated and reopened its flagship store in Miami and plans similar upgrades for other store locations.
Navarro held the grand reopening of its original store at 1243 S.W. 8 Street in Miami, which opened in 1961 as El Nacional Drug Store, late last month. The retailer said the event was attended by hundreds of customers, along with Miami mayor Tomas Regalado and the City of Miami Commission, local business owners and residents.
The renovation of the 10,000-square-foot store includes a new merchandise layout, new colors and enhanced signage. It also features improved customer services, such as a pediatric pharmacy window for busy parents, free compounding pharmacy services, a free Diabetes Club for adults and children with diabetes, and free prescription delivery for all customers.
A spokeswoman for Navarro said other stores in the 28-unit chain are slated to undergo the same renovations and service enhancements.
Just weeks before the flagship store reopening, Navarro launched its Customer Experience program, which the retailer said is designed to save customers time and money while enhancing their shopping experience by providing more convenience and pharmacy services.
The effort includes free prescription delivery, compounding pharmacy services with free delivery, a pediatric pharmacy area in select locations, extended hours at several stores and a competitor price-matching program for fragrances.
