ALEXANDRIA, Va.  – The National Community Pharmacists Association is announcing the following upcoming events for pharmacists and pharmacy team members taking place throughout the month of November:

  Nov. 4 – Expanding on COVID-19 Immunizations: The Pediatric Population webinar. COVID-19 vaccinations for children 5 through 11 could hit stores as soon as the first week of November. The expected dosage, technique, and best practices are a bit different in a younger population compared to adults. • Nov. 9 – COVID-19 HR Questions (and Answers) Every Pharmacy Owner is Facing webinar. Employers are faced with several difficult decisions around COVID-19 employee policies. Get guidance and answers on pressing COVID-related questions as an employer to ensure that the pharmacy team stays healthy and the business avoids legal pitfalls. Register here.
• Nov. 16 – NCPA Legal Wins and the Lasting Impact on Your Business webinar, sponsored by RxSafe.Explore how last year’s unanimous Supreme Court decision in Rutledge v. PCMA changed the legal landscape and how pharmacists can work to push for new pharmacy benefit manager regulations at the state level. Register here.

Additionally, registration opens on Nov. 12 for NCPA’s 2022 Multiple Locations Conference, which will be held Feb. 23-26, 2022, at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Fla. According to the 2021 NCPA Digest, sponsored by Cardinal Health, 32 percent of independent community pharmacy owners have ownership in two or more pharmacies. Many others may aspire to own multiple pharmacies. NCPA’s Multiple Locations Conference is where savvy owners come to learn to manage the complexity that can come with additional stores and discover solutions and strategies to make their pharmacies thrive.
