“I’m excited to be joining a rock-solid company filled with passionate long-term care experts. As a leader in supporting some of those most at-risk in our communities, every Omnicare associate is dedicated to improving the “end-user experience. We remain focused on providing the best service possible, while continuing to innovate new products and services to improve the health of our seniors and the facilities and communities that care for them.”  said Hassan on his new role.

Previously, he served as the vice president and general manager of PBM Care Management, overseeing operations, clinical excellence, product development, sales and account management for Caremark’s Care Management portfolio, including Accordant, Transform Diabetes Care and Health Advisor. Before joining CVS Health in 2015, Hassan held various leadership positions across a range of health care and technology organizations in strategy, operations and product management, including working at a health and life sciences consulting practice where he helped the firm’s payers, providers and pharmaceutical clients adapt to the changing health care landscape. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

“Under Ahmed’s leadership, Omnicare will continue delivering exceptional care to facility residents in ways that make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and staff alike,” said the company.
