The Procter & Gamble baby care brand said Wednesday that the new Pampers Easy Ups sport a 360-degree stretchy waistband that stretches all the way around to give toddlers an underwear-like fit.
Meanwhile, Pampers’ exclusive Extra Absorb Channels distribute wetness evenly to provide strong protection against leaks day or night, the company said.
Other features include Dual Leak-Guard Barriers to help stop leaks around the legs, super-soft material so the training pants feel like cotton underwear, a three-channel absorbent core design and easy-tear sides make removal easier.
P&G noted that it fielded feedback from parents to design new Pampers Easy Ups. The company said a recent Pampers survey found that 93% of parents who use training pants for their child think it’s important for the pants to feel like underwear, and 34% said they wish their child’s training pants didn’t leak so often.
“At Pampers, we understand the transition into underwear is a major developmental milestone for toddlers and parents alike,” stated E. Yuri Hermida, vice president of North America baby care for P&G. “After years of research and development, our new Pampers Easy Ups training underwear will help make potty training easy because they look and feel more like underwear for little ones while parents can have the confidence of Pampers comfort and protection.”
The new Pampers Easy Ups come in Thomas the Engine and Dora the Explorer designs help make potty training fun for boys and girls. The product will also be available in a Hello Kitty design in September. Pampers Easy Ups are available nationwide in sizes 2T-3T, 3T-4T and 4T-5T.
