Partnerships key to home health care merchandising

Mike Wolf, senior director and DMM of advanced care at Walgreens, moderated a roundtable discussion at the recent ECRM Home Health Care EPPS in Dallas that focused on how retailers and manufacturers can partner to optimize the consumer experience in-store.

“The big emerging theme was really around balancing the retail packaging with education and a marketing message to really scream off the shelf and get the customers’ attention,” Wolf said in the ECRM Thought Interaction Pod (TIP) video.

His roundtable was part of a discussion track titled “Identifying, Addressing and Overcoming Today’s Key Challenges in Home Health Care.”

At the event, held at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre, suppliers in such areas as durable medical equipment, smoking cessation, home diagnostics, incontinence products, diabetes care supplies, medical nutrition, mobility, ostomy, wound care, respiratory/sleep products, and braces/orthopedics presented their offerings to retailers, home medical equipment providers, distributors and catalog/online retailers.
