Pirates Booty Baked Carrot SnacksThe  B&G Foods snack brand said Wednesday that Pirate’s Booty Carrot Snacks are made with real carrots and corn, along with sea salt, and baked to create a crispy puff that’s tasty as well as an excellent source of vitamin A.

Certified gluten-free, the carrot puffs are non-GMO and have no trans fat, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

“Finding snack options that appeal to both parents and kids can be difficult, which is why we are pleased to offer new twists on the snack that everyone knows and loves, Pirate’s Booty,” stated Michael Sands, executive vice president of snacks at B&G Foods. “Pirate’s Booty Carrot Snacks are tasty and fun for kids because they have a vibrant color and crispiness that kids look for in a snack.”

Pirate’s Booty Carrot Snacks retail for $3.19 and are rolling out to retailers nationwide, B&G said.

The new carrot puffs join another recent launch by the brand, Pirate’s Booty Crunchy Treasures. The baked rice and corn puffs come in four pirate-themed shapes — X marks the spots, anchors, ship wheels and parrots — and are blended with real aged white cheddar cheese. Crunchy Treasures also are non-GMO, gluten-free and without trans fat and artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
