CORNWALL, N.Y. — Randob Labs Ltd. has rolled out new packaging for its Sting-Kill bee sting remedy.

“Listening and responding to feedback from our loyal users led to the updated packaging,” according to Jim Creagan, president of Randob Labs. “Retailers and category managers, who have supported our brand for years, also played a part in our direction of the new package design. We wanted to give them a new shelf-friendly package that would meet the demands of their pusher-system.”

Besides alleviating pain and itching from bee stings, Sting-Kill provides relief from other insect and mosquito bites and jellyfish stings. The product comes in single-use swabs or wipes and will be displayed in the self-standing carton — which doesn’t require a shelf tray — year round, Randob said.

Creagan added that the new carton also features a reduced width to better fit in retailer’s planograms. “We will continue to provide retailers with the original peggable cards for both Sting-Kill swabs and wipes in addition to the new offering in the self-standing carton,” he stated.

Sting-Kill sales rose over 29%, the largest growth within the top 10 of the insect first aid product subcategory, for the 52 weeks ended May 5, according to IRI data reported by Randob.

“We are optimistic about the brand’s continuous growth in 2017,” Creagan commented. “In fact, the new package is already being well-received by category managers.”

Sting-Kill is sold at such retailers as Stop & Shop, Giant, ShopRite, Tractor Supply Company, Menards and Amazon.com.
