Rite Aid to deploy 3D video rewards kiosks

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Customer rewards kiosks featuring 3D holographic videos are slated to be deployed at 200 Rite Aid stores starting early this year.

Provision Interactive Technologies Inc. said its 3D Savings Center kiosks will be rolled out to Rite Aid stores in the New York and Los Angeles markets. The kiosks project 3D holographic videos in front of the screen and include exclusive information for wellness+, Rite Aid’s customer loyalty program, as well as other promotions from the retailer.

Under the agreement, the initial phase of the rollout will include the integration of Rite Aid’s wellness+ to enable the loyalty program’s members to access their account details as well as load digital coupons to their cards to access instant savings while in stores. More Rite Aid locations are due to receive Savings Centers later this year.

The 3D Savings Center kiosk contains Provision’s 3D holographic display, which the company said has been proven to draw retail customers’ attention. Each unit also has a 2D interactive touchscreen that provides consumers access to wellness+ information as well as Rite Aid promotions, rewards and coupons.

Brand marketers also will be able to showcase their products via 3D advertising and engage viewers through the interactive touchscreen. The kiosks also can print coupons, enabling Rite Aid and other advertisers to offer customers effective sales influencers at the point of purchase.

“Rite Aid customers will enjoy an engaging 3D holographic experience and be immediately rewarded with coupons, promotions and other giveaways for in-store products,” commented Curt Thornton, president and chief executive officer of Provision. “They can also access information on local health care providers who are advertising their services through our kiosks.”
