DUBLIN, Ohio — Cardinal Health announced that Dean Scarborough, former chairman and chief executive officer of Avery Dennison Corp., and John Weiland, former vice chairman, president and chief operating officer of C.R. Bard, Inc., will join its board of directors effective September 1. Scarborough and  Weiland are highly accomplished executives with decades of extraordinary experience leading major global corporations. These appointments will bring the total number of Cardinal Health directors to 12, 11 of whom will be independent. Both will serve as members of Cardinal Health’s Audit Committee.
