One highlights of the recent NACDS Week in New York was the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Board of Directors dinner.

The event brought together executives from the retailers that comprise the association’s membership, along with their counterparts from supplier companies.

The NACDS Board of Directors dinner was hosted by NACDS chairman Martin Otto, who is chief merchant and chief financial officer at H-E-B.

NACDS Week in New York featured days of meetings — of the NACDS board of directors, the association’s Retail Advisory Board, various committees and the NACDS Foundation board — as well as countless interactions between trading partners in business and social settings. The capstone of the week was the NACDS Foundation dinner, a fund-raising event designed to support the foundation’s work, which includes research that advances patient care, pharmacy education, scholarships and grants to charitable groups that enhance health outcomes.
