SingleCare partners with emmy-award winning comedian and actor John Leguizamo

BOSTON — SingleCare, the free prescription savings service, has partnered with Emmy-award winning comedian and actor John Leguizamo on the brand’s first campaign in Spanish, airing on television and online. In conjunction with the new campaign, SingleCare has launched a Spanish-language version of its website (www.singlecare.com/es) to help millions of Spanish-speaking people across the country access lower-cost prescriptions.

According to research, Latinos are still nearly 3 times more likely to be uninsured than non-Hispanic whites, which can create greater barriers to healthcare access and financial hardships. The new Spanish-language website comes at a time when the Hispanic community needs access more than ever with the COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affecting Latinos.

The new ad features Leguizamo teaching his mother (played by an actor) how to save up to 80% on prescriptions with SingleCare. While picking up her medication at the pharmacy, he shows her how easy it is to save right at the register. Leguizamo’s ad brings to light the high cost of prescription drugs and the lack of price transparency that millions of consumers face every day — and points to SingleCare as a free solution to help people save. The ad creative and production was managed by The Boathouse with media planning coordinated through TWO NIL.

Just like the English version of SingleCare’s website, the Spanish site allows consumers to search over 10,000 prescription drugs for coupons to use at pharmacies nationwide — and typically find their discounts within 10 seconds. SingleCare is completely free to use and is available whether you have insurance or not (it can even be cheaper than an insurance copay, so it’s always worth checking). SingleCare also recently rolled out its Member Savings program, providing additional savings to Americans, at a time when it’s needed most.
