VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Smile Club has  announced an agreement with Loblaw Cos. distribute the Grush Smart Toothbrush and Brushlink attached smart devices for manual toothbrushes on Loblaws’ new PC Health app. Loblaw is one of Canada’s largest grocery and pharmacy chains. Among other services and products offered, the PC Health app enables consumers to get real-time virtual dental care from trusted healthcare providers, free of charge.

“Traditionally, the majority of people purchase their oral care needs from the grocery stores,” explained Dr. Mahtab Mottalebi Fard, president of Smile Club. “Now, with Loblaws introducing the PC Health app, that’s a real game changer. People will be able to get their oral care needs delivered right at their door.”

Brushlink and Grush are among the first oral care products on the PC Health app. The soft launch started in the Atlantic Provinces in Canada and is anticipated to be launched nationwide in January 2021. Brushlink is a Bluetooth-enable device that attaches to standard toothbrushes to track and improve dental hygiene by means of a mobile app that connects the user to their dentist virtually. The Grush Smart Toothbrush is comparable, being a Bluetooth-enabled toothbrush that makes toothbrushing an interactive game for children to improve their oral hygiene. Grush has a medical device type II permit from Health Canada. Smile Club has the exclusive right to distribute Grush’s products in Canada. Smile Club signed an agreement with Brushlink in October 2020 to distribute Brushlink products in Canada.
