ALBANY, Ore. — Tec Labs has introduced Tecnu Bites & Stings Medicated Itch and Pain Relief Wipes, which feature a new technology for treating insect bites and bee stings.

The company said Wednesday that each wipe has one side that is textured and one that is smooth, a feature trademarked as Tecnu Textures. The homeopathic product offers relief from the bites of mosquitos, chiggers, no-see-ums and bed bugs, as well as stings from bees, wasps, fire ants and other insects.

Tecnu Bites & Stings towelettes are infused with the active ingredients grindelia robusta 3X, for anti-itch and skin protection; plantago major 4X, for anti-itch, pain relief and wound healing; and calendula officinalis 3X, for wound healing and scar prevention.

Each package contains 20 single-use packets, designed to fit easily into a purse, backpack, medicine cabinet or first aid kit. For the times when a person has multiple bug bites, the four-inch wipes contain enough medication to cover a sizable area of skin, Tec Labs noted.

Tecnu Bites & Stings Medicated Itch and Pain Relief Wipes is available at Walmart, Rite Aid and Giant Eagle and will be rolled out to other retail outlets, according to the company.

Tec Labs also is the maker of Calagel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, Tecnu Extreme Medicated Poison Ivy Scrub and Licefreee Spray Instant Head Lice Treatment.
