ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever on Tuesday unveiled its second plant-based home care brand in the U.S.,  Love Home and Planet.

Designed around sustainability and building on the success of the company’s Love Beauty and Planet, which was launched a year ago, Love Home and Planet also promises uncompromised efficacy and  sensorial appeal.

With packaging made with recycled plastics, a self-imposed carbon tax, and planet-friendly ingredients, Love Home and Planet joins the Unilever home care portfolio targeting discerning millennials.

Billed as “the first home care brand inspired by beauty,” the line includes 38 fabric, dish and surface care products that will retail for $3.99-$12.99. Selected items are now available at Target.com and in some Target stores, with a full mass retail rollout slated for March.

The cleansers and softeners are vegan, not tested on animals and dermatologist-tested, and free of dyes, optical brighteners, gluten, added parabens and alcohol.

Scent ingredients are obtained by Unilever’s  fragrance partner, Givaudan, whose responsible sourcing program helps support the ecosystems and livelihoods of farmers and their communities.

Love Home and Planet partners with Ashoka, which provides funding to environmental change makers working to inspire less waste.
