DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. next month plans to hold its first analyst conference since its formation by the merger of Walgreen Co. and Alliance Boots GmbH.

The company said Monday that it will host its 2015 Analyst Day in Manhattan at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Battery Park on April 15 and 16.

Plans call for the first day to include an overview of the company’s operations and strategy from senior leadership of Walgreens Boots Alliance. The second day will entail a half-day session to review financial performance as well as to provide management’s insights on key financial variables.

Walgreens Boots Alliance also said it will report fiscal 2015 second-quarter financial results on April 9. The announcement also will mark the company’s first quarterly earnings announcement since the completion of the merger at the end of 2014.

In January, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. announced that it will provide adjusted earnings guidance for fiscal 2015 in its second-quarter report, which will offer additional insight into its performance following the formation of the new holding company.

The company has ceased reporting monthly revenue and same-store sales results for Walgreens. Those figures will be provided in quarterly financial reports.
