DEERFIELD, Ill. – Walgreens is partnering with the Biden administration to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics for community college students, faculty and staff, throughout May and June.

The chain has also worked with more than 15 universities as part of its efforts to expand vaccine access and get more populations inoculated.

With approvals continuing to allow for younger children to get their vaccine, including the 12-to-15-year old age group, Walgreens reached out to more than 1,000 school districts where it has previously conducted flu clinics or immunized educators, offering to support in-store and on-site vaccination clinics.

The retailer also has activated multiple mobile clinics in Chicago. The traveling mobile clinics focus on bringing immunizations directly to underserved communities and those with barriers to accessing the vaccine. Over the next two months, additional mobile clinics will make stops in a number of locations across the country.
