DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens is supporting relief efforts as many communities work to recover the aftermath of several tornados that impacted the Midwest and Southern regions last weekend, including an initial $25,000 donation to the American Red Cross. The company has also donated essential household items to the American Red Cross to support emergency shelters in Mayfield, Kentucky.

“Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by the storms, and we’re working to do our part to help support these communities during this difficult time,” said John Standley, Walgreens president. “We’re proud of our team members, who worked quickly to restore pharmacy and other services throughout the region, in order to meet the vital needs of our customers and patients.”

Nearly all 169 stores in the storm’s path are now fully open. The store locator feature on Walgreens.com and the myWalgreens mobile app can help customers find the nearest Walgreens. Patients can also contact pharmacy staff 24/7 through Pharmacy Chat available on Walgreens.com and the mobile app, or call 1-800-WALGREENS.
