POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Tim Weber has been promoted to vice president at Fruth Pharmacy.

Previously director of pharmacy administration and procurement, Weber will lead the e-pharmacy division in his new role.

Weber has held previous pharmacy positions at Eckerd Drug Co. and Sears Holdings/Kmart Corp. He joined Fruth about three years ago.

“One of our best successes to date is our migration from legacy PDX to a work-flow-orientated Enterprise Pharmacy System,” Weber said. “This system enables Fruth to optimize the filling process and gives our pharmacy teams more functionality within the daily work flow to better serve our patients. Fruth has been able to advance clinical services to our patients due to this improvement by integrating medication therapy management into the pharmacy work flow. This provides the pharmacists with the information they need to impact patient outcomes.”

Weber said that Fruth has many opportunities to be a leader in the way pharmacy is practiced in its market and added that the small size of the company allows it to be nimble and change quicker than some of its larger competitors.

Chairman of the board and president Lynne Fruth stated that Weber’s promotion was well deserved. “The board wanted to recognize Tim’s contributions to the company by offering him this promotion. We are pleased he accepted and look forward to his future accomplishments,’’ she said.
