NEW YORK — Winning Brands Corp.’s Winning Colours Stain Remover is slated to be carried by 100 Duane Reade stores in New York City starting January 2011.

The Barrie, Ontario-based supplier said Friday that the Duane Reade drug stores, part of Walgreen Co., will carry the new Winning Colours Stain Remover 12-unit display pack containing 4 fluid-ounce bottles "designed for tight spaces and busy lives."

Described as an advanced cleaning solution, Winning Colours is a multipurpose stain remover and multicleaner that’s also friendly to the skin, providing an alternative to conventional solvents, according to Winning Brands. The company bills the product, dubbed the "World’s Most Versatile Cleaning Solution," as offering 1,000 cleaning uses in one convenient solution.

In addition, Winning Colours Stain Remover also uses 90% less packaging than conventional cleaners by being super-concentrated, enabling consumers to throw away nine times fewer bottles into the waste stream, according to Winning Brands.
