Carma Labs appoints VP of R&D

FRANKLIN, Wis. — Keith Edgett has joined Carma Laboratories Inc., the maker of Carmex lip balm products, as vice president of research and development.

Carma said Friday that in the role, Edgett is responsible for leading all areas of product development, global regulatory compliance and product innovation.

He brings more than 25 years of R&D experience to Carma. Most recently, he served as vice president of R&D at eos Products LLC., where he led the design, startup and staffing of an R&D facility establishing internal product development capabilities, according to Carma.

Before that, at Kimberly-Clark HealthCare, Edgett directed innovation and product development, overseeing all new infection-prevention and wound-healing medical device product development. He has also served as vice president of feminine care R&D at Playtex Products Inc., senior director of open innovation at EPC and director of sun care R&D at Schering-Plough Healthcare Products.
