KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jim Martin, a pharmacist licensed in both Georgia and Texas, received the National Community Pharmacists Association’s 2022 Calvin J. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award as part of NCPA’s Annual Convention, which was held Oct. 1-4, in Kansas City, Mo.

The Calvin J. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award honors a pharmacist who has dedicated their career to the advancement of the pharmacy profession. Anthony’s long, distinguished pharmacy career saw him start as an independent community pharmacy owner in Stillwater, Okla., and serve on multiple pharmacy organizational boards, serve as National Association of Retail Druggists (now NCPA) president from 1993-1994, and serve a five-year term as NCPA’s executive vice president.

“Jim has long been devoted to independent community pharmacy and its patients and, given his expertise and range of pharmacies touching on wellness, compounding and specialty, he is frequently sought out as a go-to resource on a variety of pharmacy topics,” said NCPA President Michele Belcher. “Our industry is stronger as a result of Jim’s leadership throughout his career. I am pleased to congratulate him as the recipient of the NCPA 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award!”
