NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — Nature Made has unveiled Nature Made Advanced Dual Support, a new probiotic that offers comprehensive digestive support.

The Pharmavite vitamin and dietary supplement brand said Tuesday that Nature Made Advanced Dual Support targets both parts of the digestive tract, which helps support digestive flora balance with the added benefit of supporting regularity. As a result, the product provides a better solution versus most single-strained probiotics, according to the company.

Probiotics are known as “good” bacteria that naturally exist in the digestive system and help to restore digestive balance. Nature Made Advanced Dual Support contains 10 billion live cells of Lactobacillus plantarum 299V and 2 billion live cells of Bifidobacterium lactis SD-5674, probiotics that withstand the harsh environment of the stomach to survive in the intestinal tract where they are needed, the company said.

Nature Made Advanced Dual Support is designed to naturally build and support digestive balance and regularity, and it’s gentle enough for everyday use. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 60 to 70 million Americans suffer from digestive issues, which can result from digestive imbalance.

The new product is part of a suite of probiotics that Nature Made has launched to meet the specific daily health needs of consumers, including women’s, men’s, prenatal and daily balance.
