MADISON, N.J. — Pfizer Consumer Healthcare has expanded its Advil pain relief lineup with fast-acting Advil Film Coated tablets.

Advil Film Coated comes in tablet and capsule forms and in a premium white box.

The company said Monday that the new product marks the U.S. debut of Advil Ion Core, a fast-dissolving technology that along with a specially formulated, ultra-thin coating, is designed to expose the ibuprofen sodium core and alleviate pain in minutes.

According to Pfizer, Advil Film Coated tablets provide the speed and power of a liquid-filled capsule but in the more popular tablet form. The product comes in a premium white box.

Advil Film Coated is now available to consumers in both tablet and caplet forms and is sold in 20-, 40-, and 80-count bottles at retailers nationwide.

"Tough pain intensifies if not treated quickly," stated Brian Groves, U.S. chief marketing officer at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. "Our new, fast-acting Advil tablets are designed to stop pain in its tracks, before it gets worse and interferes with the busy lives of our more than 100 million Advil consumers."
