BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons Cos. and Safeway pharmacies announced that they are teaming with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy to offer free at-home COVID-19 tests to state residents.

This partnership will provide free saliva tests to Idahoans with no appointment, line or nasal swab.

The test can be shipped directly to  homes after finishing a quick registration form that is shared with a local pharmacy.

The saliva tests typically return results in 72 hours or less from the time the lab receives the sample.

“We appreciate the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy for helping to provide these tests free-of-charge to Idahoans,” said Dan Salemi, GVP Albertsons Companies Pharmacy. “Patients are never more than a phone call away from our pharmacy’s guidance and care. We are excited about how easy it is to get this saliva test, because we can ship the test anywhere in Idaho.”
