SHELTON, Conn. — Energizer Personal Care has expanded its Banana Boat line with three new sunscreen products.

Available now at grocery and drug retailers nationwide are Banana Boat SunComfort Clear UltraMist Sunscreen, Banana Boat Dry Oil Clear UltraMist Sunscreen with Argan Oil and Banana Boat Sport Performance Lotion Sunscreen with Powerstay Technology. Energizer said each of the new sunscreens provides SPF protection, up to 80 minutes of water resistance and other benefits.

Described as Banana Boat’s most comfortable sun protection yet, SunComfort Clear UltraMist allows sand to brush off easily and moisturizes to relieve dryness caused by sun, chlorine and salt water. Energizer said SunComfort has passed testing in seven conditions — sun, pool water, ocean water, wind, sweat, sand and extreme heat (up to 100 degrees) — to provide safe and effective sun protection. The sunscreen is available in SPF 30 and 50+.

Meanwhile, Dry Oil Clear UltraMist Sunscreen has been reformulated to include argan oil. Besides providing sun protection, the lightweight dry oil formula leaves skin feeling silky-smooth and moisturized, Energizer noted. The Clear UltraMist delivers one-touch spray for quick, easy coverage, with a lightweight, nongreasy feel. The product comes in in SPF 4, 8, 15, and 25.

Sport Performance Lotion Sunscreen with Powerstay Technology builds on last year’s introduction of Sport Performance Clear UltraMist Sunscreen with Powerstay Technology, according to Energizer. The new sunscreen is targeted at sports enthusiasts and active individuals who don’t want to be slowed down when out in the sun. The formula is designed to lock actives in place and boost staying power to provide heavy-duty protection throughout all outdoor activities in lotion form.

Energizer said the new formula stays on in seven conditions, just as SunComfort Clear  UltraMist, to provide safe and effective sun protection. Sport Performance Lotion Sunscreen with Powerstay Technology’s formula is lightweight, sweat-resistant, water-resistant, quick-absorbing and nongreasy, and it won’t run in eyes, the company noted. The sunscreen is available in SPF 15, 30, 50+ and 100.
