SEATTLE — This weekend, Bartell Drugs is slated to kick off its annual Fall Beauty Event spotlighting cosmetics, skin care and other beauty care offerings.

The Puget Sound-area drug chain said Wednesday that, from Oct. 1 to 7, six Bartell Drugs stores will feature “informative and fun” cosmetics demonstrations as well as giveaways, samplings and special discounts.

The demos will include false eyelash applications, skin care consultations and facials. Available by appointment, the makeup consultations are 20 minutes each, and participants will receive special “beauty bags” with cosmetics samples and coupons. The beauty consults are offered on a first-registered, first-served basis.

The Bartell Drugs Fall Beauty Event also will feature opportunities for customers to win special gift baskets valued at more than $150 apiece, samples of treats from favorite food companies, and special chainwide sales on a range of beauty product lines.

Participating locations for the Bartell Drugs stores at Green Lake (Oct. 2), Maple Valley (Oct. 3), Snoqualmie Ridge (Oct. 4), Rainier Valley (Oct. 5), Lower Queen Anne (Oct. 6) and University Village (Oct. 7).

Overall, Bartell Drugs operates 65 stores in Washington’s King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
