MARYVILLE, Tenn. — DenTek has announced its second acquisition within a week, unveiling a deal to purchase the Canker Cover and OraMoist oral care brands.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. DenTek said Monday it acquired the two brands from Quantum Health.

Last Tuesday, DenTek reported that it acquired Orabrush, a leading brand of tongue cleaner products.

Canker Cover is a tablet-like patch made from edible natural ingredients that relieve pain and expedite the healing process. It adheres to a canker sore in seconds and forms a clear, gel patch that lasts eight to 12 hours. The patch protects the sore from irritants such as food, drink and braces, and one patch will treat most canker sores.

Meanwhile, OraMoist provides relief for dry mouth. The tablet-sized patch adheres easily and comfortably inside the mouth and then slowly dissolves. It releases ingredients that lubricate and moisten the mouth as well as stimulate natural saliva production.

DenTek said it promote Canker Cover and OraMoist in tandem with its lineup of oral health care products, which include floss picks, interdental brush cleaners, dental guards for nighttime teeth grinding, dental picks/scalers and tongue cleaners. The company added that it also plans to leverage its current retail partnerships to gain more visibility on promoting positive oral health.
