The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) published its 21 FIP Development Goals (which define key areas of transformation for the whole pharmacy profession) on 21 September 2020, and this new Workforce Reference Guide seeks to support the implementation of 13 of these goals (the Pharmaceutical Workforce Development Goals developed by the federation in 2016.)

“The FIP Workforce Reference Guide includes all information, evidence and expertise from FIP to support our members with measuring progress, evaluation, implementation and transformation processes with regards to the workforce elements of the FIP Development Goals,” said professor Ian Bates, director, FIP Workforce Development Hub. For example, for each goal, the Workforce Reference Guide lists available global reports, frameworks, tools and publications, and gives information about ongoing projects undertaken by FIP in the area.

The reference guide will be updated and refined regularly. Work to expand the reference guide to cover the remaining eight FIP Development Goals is under way.

The FIP Workforce Development Guide  is available here.
