The re-opening event featured remarks from FLAVORx senior vice president of marketing Chad Baker, president and chief executive  Stuart  Amos, and chairman of the board Chuck Nabit. Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot applauded the Maryland company’s national impact saying, “The fact that this homegrown business is in over 40,000 pharmacies is an astounding feat.” Maryland Secretary of Commerce Kelly Schulz also praised the company’s achievements and the help they provide to parents and children across the country. The Comptroller, Secretary of Commerce, and representatives from the Howard County Executive’s office presented FLAVORx with citations and awards of achievement.

The ceremony ended with a ribbon cutting and a tour that allowed guests to witness the transformation first-hand. Areas that were previously empty and unused have been turned into new space for manufacturing, an additional lab, a call center, offices, and conference rooms. Existing rooms were also expanded and renovated. Before and after pictures displayed in each area showed the drastic changes that had taken place. During the tour, FLAVORx vice president of quality and regulatory affairs Ursula Chizhik also gave guests a chance to participate in a blind taste test.

Amos was proud to present their new and improved space to the public. He said, “We were honored to be visited by so many notable members of the community to celebrate this proud moment in our company’s history. We want to thank everyone for their participation.”
