Liberty Software sponsors pharmacy road trip

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

PRESCOTT, Ariz.— Independent pharmacy veteran, Bruce Kneeland, announced today he is slated to take-off on another extensive pharmacy road trip. The trip being called, Four Savvy Southern Pharmacies, will include on-site visits and interviews with the owners of pharmacies in four southern states; Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Jeremy Manchester, executive vice president of Liberty Software, says he is excited for his company to be sponsoring the trip. He says the key take-a-way will be the production and distribution of a White Paper Kneeland will produce. The document will outline, in a step-by-step manner, the management tools and marketing techniques the four pharmacies use to successfully implement one or more of the enhanced care services their pharmacies provide.

One specific thing Kneeland says he is looking for is how these four pharmacies chose a specific enhanced care service to provide and how they got their staff to “buy-in” on providing the new service. He will also be looking for ways the pharmacies use features in their Liberty Software system to support these new services. Kneeland says one of Liberty’s newest features is an appointment scheduler with features that help them manage their immunization program, interact with state immunization registries, automate billing procedures and auto-populate eCare plans.

Manchester says the pharmacies Kneeland will visit provide a cross-section of independent pharmacy. One is in a major metropolitan area, another in a suburban location and two in rural towns. Two are clinically focused and the others have more traditional front-ends. One even has an old fashion soda fountain.

The four pharmacies to be visited are: Flower Mound Pharmacy, Flower Mound, Texas (Dallas Fort Worth). Caldwell Pharmacy in Wynne, Arkansas, Kirby Whitten Pharmacy in Bartlett, Tennessee (Memphis) and Roche Pharmacy in Whitmire, South Carolina.

Kneeland says the White Paper will be designed to provide pharmacy owners with a road map that will outline specific steps pharmacy owners can take to replicate the success of the four pharmacies he visits on the trip. When completed the White Paper will be made available, free of charge, to any pharmacy owner requesting it from Liberty Software.
