PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Procter & Gamble veteran Dennis Curran has joined GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare as U.S. vice president of sales and chief customer officer.

GSK Consumer Healthcare said Friday that, in the role, Curran will be responsible for driving the company-customer relationship with retail partners and leading the sales organization to deliver an optimum shopper experience for GSK’s leading brands. He will be based in the interim GSK Consumer Healthcare headquarters in Parsippany, N.J.

“We conducted an extensive search, and we were happy to find someone with Dennis’ experience and track record of delivering outstanding results with our retail partners,” stated Colin Mackenzie, area general manager for North America at GSK Consumer Healthcare. “His leadership will help us continue the strong momentum we are seeing on our brands in the U.S.”

At Procter & Gamble, Curran’s 29-year career included sales and marketing assignments across the P&G beauty, health and family care businesses in both the United States and Europe. Most recently, he served as the regional general manager for the P&G Prestige business in North America.

“I am thrilled to be joining the GSK Consumer Healthcare at such an exciting time for the new company transformation,” Curran commented. “GSK has such iconic brands and fantastic people. I look forward to leading the sales organization as we continue to build the first and best fast-moving consumer health care company.”
