SCHOFIELD, Wis. — PuraMed BioScience Inc. has rolled out its LipiGesic M natural treatment for migraine headaches at CVS/pharmacy.

PuraMed said Wednesday that the distribution of LipiGesic M to CVS’ approximately 7,300 drug stores expands the migraine headache treatment’s retail availability to about 15,000 stores nationwide.

In late November, LipiGesic M became available in Walgreens’ roughly 7,800 stores across the country.

"We are pleased to now have our LipiGesic M product available in both the No. 1 and No. 2 drug chain stores in the United States. Between the nearly 8,000 Walgreens and 7,000 CVS locations nationwide, we believe our product is gaining the exposure needed to generate significant revenue," stated Russ Mitchell, chief executive officer of PuraMed BioScience.

A homeopathic treatment, LipiGesic M contains feverfew (Pyrethrum Parthenium) as its main active ingredient plus ginger, formulated for acute migraine headache relief. According to PuraMed, the product — taken via 3 ml unit-dose dispensers — has been used successfully to treat migraines, hangover symptoms, menstrual headaches and other types of headaches. Unlike tablets, LipiGesic M employs sublingual absorption, further enhanced by the use of a patent-pending formulation designed to both speed absorption and increase the amount of active ingredient absorbed. The result for most users is relief in minutes, the company said.

In addition to LipiGesic M, PuraMed plans to launch LipiGesic H for tension-type headaches and LipiGesic PM, a remedy for insomnia and other sleep disorders.
