ARLINGTON, Va. — Last Friday afternoon, NACDS conducted its second regular media briefing on COVID-19 vaccinations, and pharmacies’ role in the initiative.

During the briefing, NACDS emphasized that pharmacies across America are prepared and have the experience to turn vaccine doses into vaccination appointments, and that the ramp-up will continue as the program is expanded and as vaccine supply becomes available. More than 100 reporters participated in the call.

NACDS spokespeople during Friday’s briefing included Steven Anderson, NACDS’ president and CEO; Christie Boutte, NACDS’ senior vice president of state strategic affairs and advocacy; and Kathleen Jaeger, NACDS’ senior vice president of pharmacy care and patient advocacy.
