RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — Pure Protein has expanded its roster of protein-fortified bars, snacks, powders and drinks with Pure Protein Super Food protein powder.

The Nature’s Bounty Co. brand said Tuesday that Pure Protein Super Food provides a complete vegan protein blend in three flavors: dark cocoa, vanilla bean and mixed berry super fruits. Each offers 20 grams of protein per serving from 100% plant-based sources.

Targeting as people focused on an active, fitness-focused lifestyle, the non-GMO Pure Protein Super Food contains naturally sourced super greens as well as no soy or dairy and no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. Each variety has 140 to 160 calories, 5 grams or less of suga, and 20 grams of plant-based complete protein, providing essential amino acids for lean muscle and strength, the company said.

Pure Protein noted that earlier this year the product’s vanilla bean and mixed berry super fruit flavors were awarded the American Masters of Taste “Superior Taste TASTE Gold Medal Seal.”

“With the rise in popularity of plant-based nutrition, we recognize that our consumers are looking for convenient ways to add more protein while also trying to incorporate more fruits, vegetables and greens into their diet,” stated Derek Bowen, chief marketing officer at Nature’s Bounty Co. “We’re excited to add Pure Protein Super Food to our portfolio, fulfilling the need for a complete, high-quality protein with the same great taste one can expect from the entire Pure Protein product line. We believe the taste of our plant-based protein product sets us apart from the other plant protein offerings on the market.”

Currently, Pure Protein Super Food is available online on Amazon.com. This month, the product is slated to roll out to select retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Meijer, Food Lion and H-E-B.

In tandem with the product launch, Pure Protein has kicked off a new marketing campaign that showcases the brand’s focus on fitness as a smart lifestyle choice. The campaign will spotlight Pure Protein’s original)protein bars as well as the new Super Food product. The first video in the initiative, titled “Cycle,” has been posted on YouTube and Pure Protein’s social channels. The campaign also includes paid support across multiple social and digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
