FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Nipro Diagnostics Inc., has purchased a new corporate facility in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to house many of its operations.

The diabetes care supplier said Thursday that the building, at 2200 West Cypress Creek Rd. in Fort Lauderdale. will serve as its global headquarters for the executive team, marketing, finance, operations, accounting, research and development, regulatory and human resources.

Manufacturing will remain at the diabetes management product maker’s facility at N.W. 55th Court in Fort Lauderdale, a site purchased in December.

"This new corporate headquarters complex of almost 80,000 square feet, located on seven acres, affords us the space and capabilities to grow our business and keep up with increasing demand for our products," stated Scott Verner, president and chief executive officer of Nipro. "Just as we’re dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable diabetes care products, we’re committed to Fort Lauderdale, expanding our operations here and creating new jobs."

Plans call for the Nipro operations to move to the new building in the second quarter. The company added that the site marks the third building it has acquired in the last six months.

Nipro manufacturers blood glucose monitoring systems under such names as TRUEresult and TRUE2go as well as blood glucose meters co-branded under the TRUE name for pharmacy retailers such as CVS/pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Wegmans.
