This new feature, now live in select locations, will be available in all PioneerRx pharmacies by November 20th, 2023.

Click to Pay is a groundbreaking addition to the PioneerRx system, allowing pharmacies to define rules for sending payment requests to patients. Leveraging the bagging feature’s foundation, Click to Pay allows pharmacies to manage when to initiate payment requests, facilitating prepayment for compounded or high-cost prescriptions to streamline workflow.

Patients receive a secure text message containing a link to the RxLocal Patient Portal, where they can review order details and complete the payment process. Verification requires only the patient’s name and date of birth, ensuring a seamless and secure transaction. While an RxLocal account is not mandatory for patients, they must be capable of receiving SMS notifications and the pharmacy must be enrolled in RxLocal to use this feature.
