SPARTANBURG, S.C. — QS/1 has released an interface that integrates its workflow process with FDS Inc.’s eNGAGE patient management platform.

fds-engage-platform_qs1QS/1 said Wednesday that enabling eNGAGE Alert functionality within the QS/1 NRx and PrimeCare pharmacy management systems brings more convenience and added patient detail.

The QS/1 pharmacy systems provide color-coded adherence measures and hyperlinks directly to the eNGAGE Alert portal, creating patient-focused opportunities.

“Through this partnership with FDS and the eNGAGE Alert program, we can offer customers additional tools to increase patient adherence and improve overall patient outcomes,” according to Jon Bell, a market analyst at pharmacy and health care software provider QS/1. “Heightened focus on overall patient health has placed a premium on ensuring patients are adherent. Partnerships like this one will keep our customers competitive in the pharmacy marketplace now and in the future.”

An interactive solution for pharmacists and technicians, eNGAGE manages such patient-focused activities as Five-Star measures, medication synchronization, medication therapy management (MTM) events, immunization opportunities and patient-safety measures.

“We are excited to work with the team at QS/1 to implement eNGAGE into their pharmacy management systems,” stated Rich Bukovinsky, executive vice president for business development at FDS, a Baltimore-based provider of health care solutions. “QS/1 and FDS are working together to help community pharmacies better serve their patients, increase revenues and compete in today’s pharmacy marketplace.”
