Retailers weigh in on top items in Product Showcase

BOSTON — Retailer attendees voted on some 160 products in 11 categories and the 2014 National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo Product Showcase winners are in.

Atop the Pharmacy Operations Equipment/Services category in the 2014 Total Store Expo Product Showcase was PharmaTracker GPS Tracking to Recover Stolen Drug Products, from 3SI Security Systems Inc. In Pharmacy Products, the winner was EpiPen Auto-Injector, from Mylan Inc.

The winner in Personal Care/HBA was Biota Botanicals Therapeutic Brands, from Biota Botanical Laboratories LLC. Meanwhile, the top vote-getter in Cosmetics/Fragrances was Dr. Marvey, Tweets and Color Well, a collections of “better for you” nail-care products from MBA Beauty Inc.

In Health Care/OTC, the winner was Osteo Bi-Flex Edge, a line of joint care supplements from U.S. Nutrition Inc. The winner in Home Health Care was PainAway, from Drive Medical Design and ­Manufacturing.

In Consumables, the winner was Viniq Shimmery from E.&J. Gallo Winery, a fusion of vodka, Moscato wine and fruity flavor combined into a shimmery ­liqueur.

The General Merchandise category was won by Warm Fuzzies from American Greetings Corp. The Household Products/Non-Edible Consumables category was won by Toodaloo, from Advanced Beauty Inc.

In the Seasonal category, Rosemary Millette Cardinal Sound Clock, from Mark Feldstein and Associates Inc., received the most votes. The winner in the Baby Care category was Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointments and Spray, from Mission Pharmacal Co.
