CAMP HILL, Pa. — For American Pharmacists Month in October, Rite Aid Corp. has added video voting for its national Vote for Your Favorite Pharmacy Team Member Contest.

Rite Aid said Wednesday that through Oct. 31, customers can upload a video nomination at RiteAid.com/vote as well as vote for their favorite pharmacy team member by filling out a mail-in nomination form at a Rite Aid pharmacy or online at RiteAid.com/vote. Customers who nominate a favorite member of their Rite Aid pharmacy team get a chance to win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift card.

Now in its 11th year, the contest recognizes Rite Aid pharmacy staff — including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy cashiers and wellness ambassadors — for their commitment to customer service.

Customers who vote will automatically be entered into a random drawing to win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards. One nominated pharmacy team member also will win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards via a random drawing.

All "favorite" pharmacy staff will be recognized by Rite Aid with a "Favorite Pharmacy Team Member" lapel pin and a letter of commendation from Rite Aid chairman and chief executive officer John Standley.

"American Pharmacist Month is the perfect time to honor the Rite Aid pharmacy teams for their year-round commitment to providing excellent patient care," Dan Miller, senior vice president of pharmacy operations at Rite Aid, said in a statement. "Every day, they are making a difference in the lives of their customers and the communities we serve. This program is just one small way we can thank them for their hard work and dedication towards improving the health and wellbeing of our customers."
