BENTONVILLE, Ark — This month, Sam’s Club plans to offer free men’s health screenings at all of its pharmacy locations.

Valued at $250, the screenings include tests for PSA (prostate-specific antigen), used to screen men ages 40 and older for prostate cancer; blood pressure; total cholesterol; HDL (good cholesterol); risk ratio; glucose; body mass index (BMI); and vision (not available at all locations).

Sam’s Club noted that the screenings are being offered during Men’s Health Month and with Father’s Day coming a week later.

“June is the perfect time to ensure the men in our lives are healthy. Dads today are more engaged than ever, but many prioritize their families’ health over their own,” Jill Turner-Mitchael, senior vice president of health and wellness at Sam’s Club, said in a statement. “Sam’s Club is proud to make it easier for these men to be proactive about their health by offering free screenings, including a PSA test for prostate cancer. We hope everyone stops by their local club to participate and to show dad just how much they care.”

In addition to monthly health screenings, Sam’s Club pharmacies provide savings and preventive care, including year-round immunizations for children and adults. Pharmacists can administer walk-in flu shots and nine other key immunizations, including the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. Sam’s Club Plus and Sam’s Club Business members can also receive extra savings prescriptions.

Overall, Sam’s Club operates 650 wholesale clubs in the United States and Puerto Rico.
