This Copper Lager’s for You

NEW YORK — Two beverage giants, Budweiser and Jim Beam, have teamed with up on a special new limited-edition beer, Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager, aged on Jim Beam bourbon barrel staves.
Hitting store shelves shortly, the beer is available in both bottles and on draft. Aging of the beer on wood staves from Jim Beam bourbon barrels promises a “toasted oak aroma and deliciously nutty taste with caramel rye and vanilla notes,” the companies say.

Budweiser and Jim Beam are hoping to tap into trend of barrel-aged beers that has expanded along with Americans’ growing taste for craft beers brewed by smaller, independent brewers.
